Your meal really sounds and looks amazing. I totally have to agree because of the weather. It is so varied that you cannot know waht will happen next. When I go to the grocery I buy almost everything which fits into every weather. The summer lamb stew really sounds delicious. I have to try your receipt and will report on the outcome.

OK, I'm sold! Thos looks heavenly. For some reason I very seldom stew lamb - always think no further than roast or chops on the BBQ. But BBQs have been a little scarce in this ridiculously crap summer weather... This seems like a viable alternative ;-)

I don't think I've tried grilling or frying neck either, Richard. I thought it would be chewy but that is precisely how the supermarkets suggest we cook it.

Glad to have helped, jodsgirl. I hope it goes well. If you can't find any mint, dill would be a good alternative.

Thank you Chocolate_Ros. I have some lamb neck fillet in the freezer and OH brought home some broad beans from his friends allotment, so Sunday tea is all sorted!

Not sure about grilling/frying neck - I think it's better suited to this sort of cooking.
I've never tried lemon with lamb - other than preserved lemon in a lamb tagine I guess. Must give it a go!
